Identity Rules & Requirements

SupportUKtoday is a national movement made up of three strands:

  • SupportUKtoday

  • NoMeNoTree

  • JustForMeAndMyDog

Our unified supporter identity is:

Supporter Requirements

When representing, promoting or participating in the movement, supporters must include:

  • www.SportMeToday.com

  • #SportMeToday

  • at least one strand hashtag:

    • #SupportUKtoday

    • #NoMeNoTree

    • #JustForMeAndMyDog

This applies to:

  • social media posts

  • events and challenges

  • posters, flyers, digital materials

  • public activity connected to the movement


Identity Usage (Movement Activities)

Supporters must use the S’port Me Today identity when taking part in:

  • public activity

  • social media posts

  • external events connected to SupportUKtoday or a strand

This ensures national consistency and recognisable movement identity.


Using the Identity Independently (Outside SupportUKtoday)

When a supporter uses the S’port Me Today identity in activities not organised or managed by SupportUKtoday, this is classed as Independent Use.

Independent Use includes:

External Platforms

Using the identity on third‑party platforms such as:

  • fundraising platforms

  • event registration platforms

  • challenge platforms

  • any external system not operated by SupportUKtoday

These platforms cannot be monitored or verified by SupportUKtoday.

Independent Events

Events that are:

  • not organised by SupportUKtoday

  • not assigned to a SupportUKtoday strand

  • run independently by the supporter or a third party

  • not connected to any official movement activity

Examples include Park Runs, personal challenges, sponsored activities, and community events.

Independent Fundraising

Any activity where:

  • the supporter is raising money directly for a charity

  • the charity is not registered with SupportUKtoday

  • the charity may not align with movement principles

  • donations are collected outside SupportUKtoday

  • the supporter manages the fundraising process themselves


Identity Registration Fee (£10)

A £10 identity registration fee applies to all Independent Use.

This fee is not a charity donation. It protects the identity and ensures supporters using the identity outside SupportUKtoday are properly recorded.


Why Supporters and Organisations Display the Identity

Displaying the S’port Me Today identity shows that a supporter, venue or organisation is part of the national movement. It helps people recognise activity connected to:

  • SupportUKtoday

  • NoMeNoTree

  • JustForMeAndMyDog

The identity is informational only. It is:

  • not charity branding

  • not partnership branding

  • not endorsement

  • not a replacement for any organisation’s own identity

Displaying the identity does not create any contractual or financial relationship.


Misuse of Identity

SupportUKtoday may request removal or correction of any content that misuses or misrepresents our movement identity.


Identity Protection

SupportUKtoday, S’port Me Today, NoMeNoTree and JustForMeAndMyDog are movement identities belonging to SupportUKtoday.

  • Only registered supporters may use these identities.

  • External individuals or groups must not use these names or identities, as this may mislead the public or imply official involvement.

  • Unauthorised use is not permitted.
